All ports congested?Welcome to Florida!

sea freight forwarder shipping service China to La Miami

Recently, the 24-hour pilot program of the Port of Long Beach failed, and the US port is still in a crisis of continued congestion.

Shipping from China to LA/LB is the busiest route - the West Coast is taking over 40% of whole America cargos. At this moment, the Florida Port Commission stated that it can ease the congestion problem in US ports. "We think we can now transport goods in a better, faster, and cheaper way." said Michael Rubin, CEO of the Florida Port Commission. "California's ports cannot accommodate so many ships. These ships will stay on the coast for several weeks to a month, and even if the cargo is loaded and unloaded, they will be blocked at the port."

Rubin said: "Miami, Jacksonville and other ports have sufficient infrastructure, and all have rail connections. Goods can be transported to any part of the United States by rail, and you can reach Chicago in 2 days."

Clients can also ship directly from China ports Shenzhen/Huangpu/Shanghai/Ningbo to Florida, no port congestion, no delay. It is reported that it takes about 7 days for ships to reach Florida through the Panama Canal from the Port of Los Angeles. There are 15 ports in Florida that can accept these ships. After the goods are picked up and unloaded here, they can flow to the market in about 2-3 days.

The Port of Tampa Bay also stated in a statement: "Our port is always ready to welcome new business as an alternative and solution to the supply chain." In the past few years, the port has been investing in infrastructure and will build a container terminal covering an area of 160 acres.

Rubin knew that moving the liner from California to Florida might require changes in staffing and schedules, as well as the Panama Canal fees. "You have to abandon the inherent trade routes and find more efficient routes to transport goods. To some extent, passing the Panama Canal to a port in Florida may be a better choice."
